This past Saturday we had a maternity session. I’ve known the momma-to-be for a few years now so I was excited when she called to schedule! We ended up starting about an hour earlier than originally planned because it has been so hot lately…. and I didn’t want anyone overheating on us! So that morning Jason & I packed a cooler full of cold bottled water for everyone and headed out to meet up at a local park… with a lot of shade. (A definite prerequisite for sessions this month!)

These guys were naturals behind the camera and so much fun. I can’t wait to meet their little guy in August!!

Congrats you guys :)

And this is their cute pup, Kevin, who tried his best to steal the show!

Jason and I are trying to eat much healthier these days so we decided what better way than to start shopping the local farmers’ markets. It’s now one of our favorite ways to spend a free Saturday morning. There’s just nothing better than fresh veggies hot of the grill and sweet fruit for dessert. And we’re helping to support the local farmers, too!

The downtown market has great flowers at prices you can’t beat!

We recently started growing our own basil. Now if I can just remember to water it we will be able to have some fresh pesto!

You may recognize 2 of these cuties from a previous session. If you remember, it was pretty hot then too. But I feel sure we set a new record with them this year because I think the heat index broke 113 degrees this past Saturday…. can we say HOT?!? Nonetheless we still had fun!

During their most recent session, we got to meet the rest of the family.  Such a sweet family too! And if I am remembering correctly, the grandparents just celebrated 38 years of marriage! Congrats again you guys :)

Jason and I thought we would bring along some bubbles to help distract the kids from the heat. Granted the bubbles didn’t make it cooler, but they did make for some fun pics.
