Posted in 36 in 365
It’s a New Year so of course I feel the need to set some goals. Jason and I each made a list of 36 goals each. Some personal and some related to the business side of things. Why 36? I’m not sure really. It was late at night when we started this project and I wanted something “catchy.” Kinda like 101 in 1,001 but without actually committing to 101 goals… or 1001 days. lol! So with this we can aim for our “36 in 365.” It averages out to roughly 3 goals a month. And at 10pm at nite, that seemed do-able :)
So here goes mine… in no particular order:
1. Develop professional stationary and packaging.
2. Run a 5K. (I’ve got to get back on the racing bandwagon!)
3. Blog every other day for one month.
4. Lose 20 lbs.
5. Read through the Bible again.
6. Meet one of our preset business goals.
7. Give photographic services for charity
8. Take a real vacation (no business allowed!)
9. Master the use of off camera flash with Zack Arias.
10. Visit my family in Philadelphia.
11. Obtain 100 Twitter followers (of course this means I have to tweet more!… and maybe even have a few giveaways :))
12. Eat 1 serving of fruits and vegetables every day for one month.
13. Take a picnic lunch to hubs @ work.
14. Read five books for my business.
15. Read five books for fun.
16. Finish building & decorate my new office.
17. Take a daily vitamin every day for two months.
18. Make a photo cookbook for my family.
19. Use my recyclable shopping bags for five shopping trips in a row (in hopes of making it a habit.)
20. Create wedding albums for studio portfolio purposes.
21. Paint the outside trim on our house (it must be done.)
22. Enter a photo competition.
23. Go camping for a weekend (we always plan to go but then it rains.)
24. Deliver an unexpected home cooked meal to a friend.
25. Sell a piece of my photography as fine art.
26. Watch a man-flick with my hubs.
27. Enjoy a spa day (preferably sooner than later!)
28. Build 6 pack abs (or at least a 4 pack.)
29. Spend an afternoon serving meals to the homeless.
30. Prepare a gourmet candlelight dinner for my husband.
31. Organize all of the closets in my house.
32. Attend a show at the Orpheum.
33. Host another sushi demo night.
34. Second shoot a wedding with a “rockstar” photographer (ie, someone who’s work I adore).
35. Get a new hairstyle.
36. Take a fun impromptu weekend getaway with my hubs.
Jason is currently creating his own personal blog and will most likely post his goals there. I’ll add a link to his site here once he gets it up and going.
Stay tuned for info from my trip To Imaging USA! Tons of new stuff coming down the pike for CJ :)
I hope you all have a wonderful and very blessed 2010!!
I love it. I actually did 38 in 365 b/c I didn’t want to commit to 101 in 1001. Great minds! :)
